Whether you struggle with an overbooked schedule, financial concerns, life with children or life in general, there is one thing each person has in common; the need for a calmer environment and experiences. Do you desire a calmer environment? Do you ask how being calmer could affect my life? You wouldn’t be alone if you feel that you need more calm in your life, but don’t know how or where to start.   How does pursuing calmness help our bodies?

How Do I Improve Blood Circulation Flow

Increasing blood circulation is a necessary step to improve upon your health and maintain your body. Having a healthy balance of movement and rest is essential in aiding our bodies to continue to function as designed, but also in our mental and emotional well-being. Our emotions, mental health and physical health all need movement and peaceful environments.

When our bodies are relaxed, we have increased blood flow which improves our energy. With an increased blood flow our muscles and systems are being nourished appropriately to maintain health. With proper blood flow our bodies are able to move toxins and waste out through our kidneys and liver, maintaining balance within us.

  • Regular exercise
  • Intentional activities outside – biking, hiking, walking
  • Park in a further away parking spot
  • Set timers to get up and move each hour
  • Stop smoking
  • Stay hydrated with water
  • Stand while working in full or part
  • 5-10 squats at each restroom visit

Getting creative with improving blood circulation can over time help your body and stabilize your emotions bringing a calmer personal space. Adding a new activity to your day to decrease sedentary lifestyles can improve more than just your physical body. What other ideas do you have to increase movement and help with blood circulation?

There are so many studies available and information on the need for us to bring calm environments and experiences into our lives. Our bodies are not designed to function in constant chaos or fight or flight. For us to be effective at navigating the tough, we have to balance our lives with proper sleep and choices that lead to our health. Many of us desire these but need help with ideas. Whether you need to be able to think more clearly through decisions or just be aware and focused, it wouldn’t hurt to try some of the below techniques to help us bring calm into our situations.

  • Deep breathing
  • Realize and admit you are anxious
  • Visualize yourself calm
  • Change your focus/thoughts
  • Get some fresh air
  • Listen to a favorite song

Realizing you need more peaceful moments in your life is a wonderful first step. Adding some physical activities to help your body and blood move can be a step to take next. Slowly increasing small changes and making those habits can improve your overall outlook toward your life. You could set goals to eliminate the unhealthy habits that could be causing you more harm. Have you tried some of these and didn’t feel it worked for you? Try another activity. Make it outside and moving and something you enjoy. Ask a friend to commit to an activity with you.
