Mindfulness is the human ability to be fully present, aware of what is going on right now, aware of what we are doing while not being overreactive to what is going on around us. In short, it is the ability to think about what we are doing right now. Taking attention with interest and kindness to our surroundings.
When looking at Gen Z, ages 15-21, there is an increase of average number who are dealing with anxiety and/or depression. There are social changes that could have an effect on the increase. This generation of people have lived through global, social and local changes that have set deep seeded uncertainties to take root.
Independence is a belief that we are capable of relying on ourselves for everything. It is often paired with an equal determination to not need help from anyone. Does the thought of allowing others to help you make you feel uncomfortable?

Did you know that guilt can be seen differently? For example, there can be legal guilt, moral guilt just to name a couple. But what happens when we carry unwarranted guilt? That is what we will take a look at today.

There are different reasons that we are unable to connect to our feelings, we will talk about some of those today. Regardless of what prevents us from knowing what we are feeling, it can affect us.
We all encounter stressful situations. It is impossible to walk through life without any stress. How we respond to that stress is our topic to discuss today. We don’t have to continue choosing the same response to stress that we currently take. We can learn new ways and then try them when a stressful circumstance occurs.
On one hand, it is good to have people pleasing attributes. Afterall, people pleasers put others first and they often can see when others are hurting. They are seen as kind and helpful. This makes them a good friend or companion. But what happens when that trait is more dominate than other traits?
