Ann Simmons Upstate Restorative Counseling

Meet Ashlee.

Throughout her lifetime, Ashlee consistently found a special compassion for those in need. From a young age, she was the ear that listened, and the shoulder to cry on. Currently, Ashlee’s goal is the help change the world of many as a healer and a counselor in a non-judgmental way.

Ashlee has always been interested in the human mind. In 2020, she started her journey by getting her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology at Anderson University. During that time, Ashlee was fascinated by the brain’s ability to channel thoughts and emotions into behaviors and how these affect a person’s way of interacting with the world. However, Ashlee learned that negative thoughts, difficult emotions, and maladaptive behaviors can cause harm to a person. With this, Ashlee wanted to find a way to help people meet their needs and provide lasting change to daily functioning. CHANGE = COUNSELING! Ashlee was hungry to learn more and so continued her journey by completing her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Liberty University in 2023. While at Liberty, Ashlee worked with Heritage Institute providing individual counseling and child play therapy.

Ashlee believes that every person is worthy of success, happiness, and wellness. Oftentimes this involves changing dysfunctional habits or behaviors, reframing negative thoughts into positive beliefs, and empowering the self to reach their goals. Ashlee hopes to offer a safe space to anyone along their expedition into a new and free self.

When not in the office, Ashlee can be found spending time with her husband and son at home, reading romance fiction or fantasy novels, and exploring the foods and sites in Upstate, SC. Ashlee enjoys spending as much time with family and friends as possible.

Currently, Ashlee accepts and is an in-network provider for Aetna and Cigna. Her self-pay sessions begin at $110.00.
